Quality & Certification Framework
Quality planning starts with the purchase specification. Grade, chemistry, dimensions, mechanical requirements, surface acceptance, traceability, inspection and documentation are reviewed for the product and order. The applicable test scope and acceptance criteria are confirmed before order approval.
Order-Defined Traceability
Heat or batch identification, process records and dispatch documentation can be defined to the traceability level required by the approved order.
Testing & Compliance
- Chemical analysis with spectrometer / PMI (XRF).
- Mechanical testing: tensile, yield strength, elongation.
- Hardness and microstructure assessment.
- Ultrasonic and MPI crack detection.
- Radioactivity testing and gas analysis (O, N, H).
Standards & Inspection
Material is reviewed against the applicable Indian, international or customer standard stated in the order. Third-party inspection requirements should be identified during enquiry so the inspection plan can be agreed.
How Product Acceptance Is Defined
Not every test applies to every billet or round bar. The required methods, sampling, acceptance values and reporting must come from the governing standard, drawing or agreed inspection plan. Buyers should state these requirements explicitly.
